There has been no drilling to date on these leases. Alluvium and colluvium, and other saleable mineral deposits can be found on the applied for 1 ands i n minor amounts. These deposits are probably not economic, but would not be disturbed by underground mining. Low grade uranium deposits occur in the general area, however, no mining claims have been located in the lease tract for uranium or any other locatable mineral. The total in-place reserve figure was calculated by a staff geologist; mineable and recoverable reserves were calculated by a staff mining engineer. The BLM estimates agreed very closely with the company supplied estimates; therefore, we recommend that the company's reserve figures be used. Also note that Western Fuels-Utah, Inc. pays royalties on processed clean coal and not on coal recovered; therefore, the important tonnage figure is the clean coal figure.
