OC~ 03 Computer requirements to use the DMG document Lunging CD (or DVD): ~lelaion of Minxela snd Geology I. A program called QuickView will be copied to ate CD and must be installed on your computer in order to use a DMG imaging CD the first time. Future use of this or other imaging CD's does not require a new installation of the software. 2. The CD or DVD that you purchase must be in the D. drive.. A DVD drive will read a CD or DVD. 3. The CD will contain files with the .tif extension. There needs to be as image viewing application for .tif tiles on your computer that will handle single and multrpage documents. On a Windows XP computer, the default viewing programs are called "Windows Picture and Fax Viewer" or "Paint' and they do not work with QuickView. The Lunging Viewer that comes with pre-Windows XP computers. does work. DMG has determined that a program called "IrfanViaw", which can be downloaded from IrfanView.com, does work with QuickView. After downloading "L-fanView", it needs to be configtued as your default .tif viewer. DMG.does not support m endorse this software and the licensing and registration are the user's responstbility. There are many other programs that work as well, such as "Imaging Preview" and "Imaging for Windows". Instructions: I. Insert the CD into your computer. 2. Allow time for the CD to install. 3. Eject the CD from the computer. 4. Reinsert the CD into the computer, $. You are ready to view the Permit Files. NOTE: Aprogram called (2ttickVirw Autotun, which rims the QuickView setup program, bas also bean copied to this CD. If the Autotvn program does NOT work, you will need to manually install the QuickView program. Ltstnutions for manually installing QuickView are avar7able upon request i .with the CD or can be viewed at www.minin¢.state.co.us. The Permit Flle document images can be viewed In the reception area of the DMG office or they can be parchssed on a CD or DVD. The CD/DVD purchase coat covers the time snd labor of maidng the CD. DMG cannot provide commuter related support.
