r .. <br />Reporting Period September 8, 1997 -September I5, 1997. <br />4 <br />Shaft Site #1 and #2: The compacted soil buttress installed to stabilize the shallow slope <br />failure on the steep cut slope south of Shaft #1 was observed on September 13. The buttress <br />appears solid and no new movement was visually detected. Slopes to either side of the <br />buttress area were also observed and appeared stable. Site lines are straight and intact. <br />Visual monitoring and collection of surface survey data will continue. <br />Electric Borehole Road: This road is nearing completion. Road cuts and fills are dry and <br />stable. H-Wall is 100% complete. <br />Shaft Site #3: As of September 15, all benches have been completed using top down <br />construction methods and work is progressing on establishing final pad dimensions and final <br />drainage facilities. Slopes are dry and stable.
