A program called QuickView will be copied ro the CD and must be installed on your computer in order ro use a DAMS imaging CD the first time. Fume use of thin or other imaging CD's does ~t require a new installation of the softwaro. 2. The CD or DVD that you purchase axis ba in the D: drive. A DVD drive will read a CD or DVD. 3. The CD will contain files with the .tif extension. There needs ro be an image viewing application for .tif files on your computer that will handle single and mold-page documents. On a Windows XP computer, the default viewing programs are called "Windows Picture end Fax Viewel' or "Paint" and they do not work with QttickView. The Imaging Viewer that comes with praWindows XP cotttputera does work. DAMS has determined tb~at a program called "IrfaaView", which can be downloaded from IrfanView.com, does work with QuickView. After downloading "hfanView", it needs to be configured as your default .tif viewer. DAMS does not support or endorse this software and the licensing and registration are the user's responsibility. There are many other programs that work as well, such ae "Imaging preview" and "Ltmging for Windows". Ins oas• 1 Ltaert the CD iron your computer. Allow tirffi for the CD ro install. 3. Eject the CD from the computer. 4. Reinsert the CD inro the computer. 5. You are ready ro view the Permit Files. NOTE: A program called QuickView Automat, which runs the l2nickView setup program, has also been copied ro this CD. If the Autoiun program does NOT work, you will need ro manually install the QuickView program hrstructioas for manually installing QuickView are available upoa request with the CD or caa be viewed at www.minina.state.co.us. The Permit File document Images can be viewed in the raeptlon area of the ARMS aRitx or they can be purchased on a CD or DVD. The CD/DVD purchase cost rnvers the tlme sad labor of making the CD.
