Reclamation
Year Phase Relation to Mining Phases and Reclamation Activities
11-14 Phase 5 - Unless the Plant Site is continued to be operational by amendment of this
permit to mine property north of 104's Avenue or other adjacent properties
and utilize the Plant Site to process material from these additional areas, the
Plant Site Area and the area utilized for wash water will be Reclamation Phase
5. Final sloping and replacement of6-12"'± topsoil should begin within t year
of when all mining is completed in Mining Phase 4.Disturbed areas not
proposed as wetlands will be revegetated with non-irrigated grasses as
outlined on page 7. Areas of proposed wetland areas will be revegetated in
accordance with recommendations to be provided by the consultant on
wetlands. Any areas of the Plant Site not proposed for immediate industrial
use after removal of the Plant Site facilities will also be revegetated with the
same non-irrigated grass seed mixture as outlined on page 7. Thus the final
reclamation area is assumed to total approximately 30 acres, which consists
of 25± acres of the wash plant discharge area and 5+ periphery acres of the
former Site Plant area. Revegetation ofnon-irrigated grasses as outlined on
page 7 should be undertaken in the 11'r year and be fully established by the
14'" year.
Other considerations or standards involved in the reclamation plan are as follows:
No acid or other toxic forming materials are known to exist in the topsoil,
overburden, or aggregate material to be mined at the site. Refuse generated will be
collected in the appropriate containers and hauled to a solid waste transfer station or
landfill facility, and no waste or refuse will be disposed of on site.
2. At CAMAS's discretion, one private boat ramp may be constructed for each part of
the reservoir to allow inspection of the shore line and any inflow or outflow facilities
by the eventual owner of the reservoir. If constructed, a map identifying these
facilities shall be forwarded to the DMG at such time as they are determined.
3. At CAMAS's discretion, inflow and outflow facilities may be constructed to allow
filling and draining ofthe reservoir, and to transfer water between the two sides of the
reservoir. If constructed, a map identifying these facilities shall be forwarded to the
DMG at such time as they are determined.
