Mine, Permit No. C-81-037 <br />Dear Dr. Corley, <br />The Division confirmed that neither G.E.C. Minerals nor the <br />Harrison Western Corporation hold an N.P.D.E.S. permit for the <br />G.E.C. permit area during an inspection on December 31, 1992. (See <br />the enclosed inspection report.) <br />The Division of Minerals and Geology does not make any attempt to <br />maintain auxiliary permits issued to a mining permittee or operator <br />following permit revocation. The Colorado Department of Health, <br />Water Quality Control Division is responsible for enforcing water <br />quality.standards. <br />Staff investigation of this issue is closed. If you are <br />dissatisfied with the results of our review of the alleged <br />violations, you may request that the Director of the Division, Mr. <br />Michael Long, review the Division's action.
