It has also been <br />determined that the grain-size distribution needs to be slightly modified to better suit the material <br />that can be produced. At present, as a result of your Office's expeditious action on our behalf, <br />the Technical Specifications allow use of either rock material from the Cresson mine or Pad 1l2 <br />material for Select Drain Cover Fill. The specification, listed on page 02200.0-5, is curtently <br />the following: <br />CURRENT SPECIFICATION <br />7. Select Drain Cover Fill -processed, free draining, poorly graded Cresson Ore or Pad <br />Jt2 material (prior specification change) placed around the vertical riser pipes conforming <br />to the following SPECIFICATIONS: <br />U.S. Standard Percent Passing <br />Sieve Size by Dry Weight <br />1-inch 100 <br />3/4-inch 30 - 70 <br />1/2-inch 0 <br />Plasticity Index: 0 <br />While the screened granitic material that we propose to use is much "cleaner" than the Pad Jig <br />material (because it is dryer and therefore has less fines attached to the coarse material), it still <br />
