When you receive you pre-blast survey you will notice that
three pictures showing the cliffs have been included in the report
as well as a discussion about them. As we pointed out, your home is
located approximately 5700 feet away from the closest blasting that
will occur over the next few years at the Yoast mine.
Later this week or next, we will come and do an inspection of the
area on top of the cliffs to look for and if necessary remove any
small loose rocks. We will also take some video of the cliffs as
well for documentation purposes. Once blasting activities are
initiated we will place our seismograph at your house to record
information on all overburden shots over the first few months. This
process will involve someone coming to your residence and setting
up the machine prior to the blast. Once the shot has taken place we
will bring the machine back to our office and download the data and
keep these records on file. Finally, next April and October we will
come back out and take some additional video of the cliffs to see
if anything has taken place in this first year.
I would like to thank you for your cooperation and assistance
regarding this matter.
Sincerely,
Michael G.
