<br />PUBLIC NOTICE <br />On September 22, 1993 there will be a formal public hearing before the Mined Land <br />Reclamation Board (the Board), concerning the Colorado Division of Minerals and <br />Geology's (the Division) proposal to nullify a settlement agreement between the Apex No. <br />2 Mine (permit no. C-81-011) and the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board (the <br />Board). This agreement approved by the Board during the fall of 1992 allowed portions of <br />the highwall to remain after reclamation of the mine. <br />1`~ <br />The Apex No. 2 min%a coal mine operated by Sunland Mining Corporation in Routt <br />County. The Surface is privately owned and the coal is Federally owned. The permit area <br />encompasses approximately 240 acres and is located in Sections 21 and 22, T4N, R86W, <br />Routt County, Colorado <br />The Board meeting will be held in Craig Colorado at the Holiday Inn, September 22, 1993 <br />from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
