O. Box 1351
Palisade, CO 81526
(303) 464-7951
September 2, 1988
~~~ti~~~
SEp G 1968
UIINED LAND
!DECLAMATION DI`~ISiON
Your letter to Blue Ribbon dated August 22, 1988 requested a plan
to stabilize the side slopes of the lower access road and
eliminate the non-draining trench at the toe of the road. This
plan is to be submitted to the Division by September 6th with the
work performed by the end of the month.
Our plan to perform this work is to reduce the steepness of the
side slopes on the road. This work will narrow the width of the
road to eight or ten feet in some areas. Material generated from
this work will be used to fill in the non-draining trench at the
toe of the road. The trench will then be sloped to drain to the
creek in one or more places. Each place where drainage to the
creek may occur will be lined with straw or hap bales.
This maintenance will be performed before September 30th. During
October or early November the access road side slopes and the
subject trench will be seeded and mulched.
Sincerely,
%/L(i
Sim Stover, P.E.
Chief Engineer
