Please find enclosed a copy of the computerized
model of the vegetation, soil water conditions, and planting scheme for tree
planting submittetl by Castle Concrete Company. We have already sent you the
results of the Mined Land Reclamation Division's conversations with
representatives of the Colorado State Forest Service and the United States
Department of Agriculture's Foresi: Service.
Tne Division's position regarding reforestation has not changed. It appears,
in light of the analysis recently completed, that our original recommendation
of wildlife haoitat revegetated with an established tree density of 35 trees
per acre and an estaolished snrub density of 35 shrubs per acre is still
appropriate.
I hope this will oe of some help. Please tlo not hesitate to call me if I can
be of further assistance.
Sincerely,
_ 77~J ~
Daniel I.
