Snerman <br />Executive Director <br />(Vacant) <br />State Engineer <br />Thank you for submitting Change Order No. 2 for the Monument Dam Modifications in Gunnison <br />County for our review and acceptance in accordance with Rule 9.1.8 of the State of Colorado's "Rules and <br />Regulations for Dam Safety and Dam Construction." This change consists of modifying the gradation of <br />downstream drainage blanket filter from ASTM C33 sand to a material that is locally available. <br />Based on our review of the Change Order as presented in your letter dated October 5, 2007, we <br />find that the proposed changes and modifications acceptable and approved effective as of the date of this <br />letter with the following contingency: <br />The gradation of the downstream drainage blanket filter shall be tested at a frequency of one test <br />for every 500 cubic yazds of in place material. Show the location where the samples were taken in <br />plan view and include with the tests results in the construction completion report. <br />
