Computer requirements to use the DAMS document Imaging CD (or DVD): 1. A program called QuickView will be copied to the CD and must be installed on your computer in order to use a DAMS imaging CD tbe first time. Future use of this or other imaging CD's does not require a new installation of the software. 2. The CD or DVD that you purchase must be in the Dt drive. A DVD drive will read a CD or DVD. 3. The CD will contain files with the .tif extension. There needs to be an image viewing application for .tif files on your cotputer that will handle single and multi-page documents. On a Windows XP computer, the default viewing programs are called "Windows Picture and Fax Viewer" or'Taint" and they do not work with QtrickView. The Imaging Viewer that comes with pre-Windows XP computers does work. DBMS has determined that a program called "IrfanView", which can be downloaded from hfanView.com, does work wiW t2uickView. After downloading "hfanView", it needs ro be configured as your default .tif viewer. DAMS does not support or endorse this software and the licensing and registration are the user's responsibility. There are many other programv that work as well, such as "Imaging Preview" and "Imaging for Windows". Instructiona• 1. Lvsert the CD into your computer. 2. Allow time for the CD to install. 3. Eject the CD from the computer. 4. Reinsert the CD into the cotrlputer. 5. You are ready to view the Permit Files. NOTE: A program called QuickView Autorun, which rune the CjltickView setup program, has also been copied to this CD. If the Autorvn program does NOT work, you will need ro manually install the 1ZttickView program Instructions for manually installing QuickView are available upon request with the CD or can be viewed at www.minina.state.co.us. The Permit File document images cap be viewed in the receptlon area otthe DBMS otiice or they can be parchssed on a CD or DVD. The CD/DVD purchase coat raven the tlme and labor of making the l:D.
