Doc Date:12H1/2001 III IIIIIIIIIIIII III s9s S/L G.d REVE6ETATION PLAN , d.4.1 OVERVIEW This section describes revegetation standards and their measurement, the types of revegetation operations to be undertaken to establish the required vegetation, and a comparison of vegetation on topsoil and spoil materials. This section is divided into the following subsections: 4.4.1 OVERVIEW, 4.9.2 BOND RELEASE SUCCESS STANDARDS, 9.9.3 REVEGETATION, 9.9.9 MONITORING, and 9.4.5 STUDIES. 4.4.2 BOND RELEASE SUCCB35 STAlID11RD3 This subsection contains a description of the success standards for revegetation that permanently reclaimed lands will be required to meet for Phase III release of reclamation performance bonds. Success standards for Topsoiled Rangeland, Substitute Soil Rangeland and Riparian reclaimed plant communities are described by category below. Also, the methods to be used to measure the parameters of cover, diversity, productivity and woody stem stocking are presented. The following provides a listing of the various areas and the reclamation success standards/criteria applicable to each area. 1. West Ridge: a. Topsoiled areas in Sections 14 and 23, T4N, R86W, under permanent program revegetation success criteria - Cover, production and diversity based on reference area comparisons. I b. Previously disturbed areas using substitute soil reconstruction material (including opportunistically salvaged topsoil material in Section 13 and 29, T4N, R86w) - cover standard of 478 (based on pre-redisturbance cover value) 2. Moffat area: Cover, production, diversity, and woody stem density based on reference comparisons, except for woody stems. The woody stem density standard is 1000 stems per acre. 3. Facilities areas: Cover standard of 478 (based on West Ridge pre-redisturbance cover value). 4. Center Ridge: Cover standard of 928 (based on previous bond `p • release approval for remainder of Center Ridge). Renewal-3 4.4-1 June 13, 1997
