Begej
Mined Land Reclamation Div.
1313 Sherman St.
Denver, CO 80203
Dear Ms. Begej:
~ ~ Cam;:
pR2X199;
Re~~'1 /li~ea~~a
~n n:. .
The Corley Company, 635 Southpointe Ct., Colorado Springs, CO 8090b, hereby
requests a meeting with the Mined Land Reclamation Soard pursuant to I. 14.
The Corley Company is the land owner of F.f' Sec. 30, T205, R69W of the 6th
P.i4.; and is permittee C-81-045 for an area not related to the petition.
This petition relates to Rules 4.21 and 4.05.3(c).
Harrison Western drilled an exploratory drill hole is the above described
lands in about 1982. During the Apr. 23, 1992, Mr. Neslin, attorney for
Frarifson~destern, testified-that-Harrison Western-did-drill-the-hale- -
According to the letter dated Mar. 13, rom Daniel I.- Hernandez;---
Harrison Western did not have an exploratory permit for a drilling permit in
violation of Rule 4.21. Said drill hole was sealed by us in 1990, but the
drill hole site and road have not been reclaimed, Because the West Pit- -
-- boundary has been moved easterly, the drill hole is no longer within the new
Harrison Western boundary.
In 1990 Harrison Western converted a diversion ditch into an access road
during one of their reclamation repairs in violation of Rule 4.05.3(c). This
_._ ditch is also outside the nev Harrison Western boundary. -
We are petitioning the Board to determine Harrison Western's requirement to
reclaim the drill hole site and road and to restore the diversion ditch, and
- to levy the appropriate penalties for these violations.
We estimate that our presentation will be ten minutes.
Sincer~/e~ly, (~ L
W.D.
