Task 13. Report
The report will be a comprehensive document that includes
individual sample and summary data tables, plant species lists, a
vegetation map, and text.
The text of the report will include an introduction that explains
the objectives of the vegetation program and relates the vegetation of the
project site to regional environmental variables; a methods section which
thoroughly documents all sample procedures; and a results and discussion
section which presents the quantitative cover, production, and density
data and provides an interpretive discussion of the ecology of each
vegetation type with emphasis on relationships to the regional environment.
We will discuss the potential or actual occurrence of threatened or
endangered species (USFtJS 1980, Colorado Natural Heritage Inventory 1983)
or other species of particular importance or concern, such as noxious weeds
(see Thornton et al. 1974). We will calculated plant species diversity
per vegetation type and corresponding reference area.
The vegetation map will be produced on a mylar topographic contour
base. The boundaries of each vegetation type, disturbed areas, reference
areas, sample sites, permit area boundaries, study area boundaries, etc.
will all be precisely delineated.
-5-
