HEALTH AND SAFETY <br />FENCING <br />Perimeter fencing will be erected and maintained prior to and for the: duration <br />of all mining operations on the property for the purpose of public safety and tFie security <br />of machinery and equipment. <br />Perimeter fencing will consist of a six (6) foot high chain link fence •opped with <br />three (3) strands of barbed wire canted outward, <br />BLASTING <br />No blasting will be irnolved in the mining operations on the property. <br />ACCIDENT PREVENTION <br />Proper precautions for accident prevention will be exercised at all times for the <br />protection of all persons and property actively and passively employed in, visiting and <br />in the vicinity of the proposed project. <br />Safety provisions and applicable laws and codes will be observed as prescribed by <br />the Mining Enforcement and Safety Administration (MESA), Colorado Bureau of Mines, <br />Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Colorado Occupatiorn~l Safety <br />and Health Administration (COSH), Department of Transportation (DOT), Boulder County <br />Highway Department and Colorado Department of Highways. Machinery, equiF~ment and <br />all hazards will be guarded in accordance with the safety provisions of these governing <br />authorities. <br />USE OF PREMISES <br />All equipment, storage of maferiak and construction operation will be confined to <br />the limits prescribed by ordinances or permits and as shown on the drawings and in the text <br />of this report, or as may be directed by the proper governing authorities. Equipment and <br />the storage of materials will not unreasonably encumber the premises. The proposed mining <br />operations will comply with all reasonable instructions of the proper governing authorities <br />and ordinances and codes regarding signs, traffic, fire and imminent danger. Disposal of <br />materials, debris, rubbish and trash during and upon completion of mining and reclamation <br />operations shall comply with applicable laws and ordinances. <br />GEOLOGIC HAZARDS <br />No material geologic hazards exist or wi II be created by the proposed ~iravel extrac- <br />tion and land reclamation plans. As the existing natural slopes will be replaced by steeper <br />slopes at many locations, the question of potential future slope instability is of greatest <br />interest as a gaologic hazard. However, the proposed average 3:1 slopes in the natural <br />free-draining gravels will pose no problem. During the placement of the earth enbankments, <br />
