C7 <br />2.0 SOIL MAP LEGEND <br />• <br />2.1 MAP UNIT 1, UNNAMED SOIL 27, 1 TO 10 PERCENT SLOPES <br />~ This map unit occurs on alluvial valley floors that have slopes of 1 to 10 per- <br />cent. The soils are deep and well drained soils formed in alluvium derived from <br />fine grain sandstone and shale. The map unit comprises 75 percent unnamed <br />soil 27. Venable soils comprise 25 percent of the map unit. Venable soils have <br />~ water table above 40 inches. Native vegetation is grasses and sagebrush. <br />• <br />2.2 MAP UNIT 2, SKYLICK - UNNAMED 68 COMPLEX, 6 TO 65 PERCENT SLOPES <br />The soils of this map unit occur on mountain side slopes and benches and have slopes <br />of 6 to 65 percent. The soils are deep and well drained and formed in mixed mater- <br />ial derived primarily from sandstone. Unnamed soils 66 comprise about 40 percent. <br />~ About 20 percent of the unit comprises Typic Cryoborolls, fine loamy. Vegetation is <br />gambels oak, aspen and sagebrush. <br />~ 2.3 SPLITRO, 3 TO 65 PERCENT SLOPES (3) <br />This map unit occurs on ridge crests of mountain sideslopes. The soils are shallow, <br />well drained soils over bedrock. Slopes are 3 to 65 percent. The map unit com- <br />~ prises 85 percent Splitro Series. Rock outcrops comprise 15 percent of the unit. <br />• <br />• <br />{• <br />2.4 ROCKLAND <br />This miscellaneous map unit occurs on ridge crests of sideslopes and at cliff <br />bands. Rock outcrops comprise 75 percent of the unit. Shallow skeletal soils <br />comprise 25 percent of the unit. <br />Rock outcrops less than two acres in extent are mapped using a (A) symbol. <br />-3- <br />
