Long <br />' Division Director <br />RE: Timnath Pit, Permit No. M-1989-056 <br />Inert Fill; Additional Information <br />Deaz Mr. Kehn, <br />Thank you for your letter of January 24, 2002 regarding the notification of placement of inert fill at the Timnath <br />Pit, Permit M-1989-056. )n you letter you state that approximately 300,000 cy of inert material will be baclriilled <br />on site to achieve the contours consistent with the reclamation plan. Due to the lazge volume of material to be <br />backfilled at the site during the life of the operation, the Division requires the operator keep a record of the inert <br />material hauled on site and include the following information; <br />• Specify the nature of the inert material, where the material came from and the date of placement. <br />• A certified statement that the material is clean and inert. <br />• When the material is dumped, it must be visually inspected to ensure that the material is clean fill dirt. <br />)f non-inert material is observed, the material must be removed (wood and wood products aze not <br />considered inert). <br />• if any concrete is disposed of in the pidpond, it must be in a hardened state for at least sixty days. <br />If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call. <br />Sincezely, <br />~~~~~. <br />Erica Crosby <br />Environmental Protection S e ' tst <br />cr.
