Nuc1a, C-B1-008; Seneca II,
C=8$'~i~>Seneca II-W, C-82-057
Dear Mr. Lunan:
k recent inspection at the Seneca II-W Mine revealed that Peabody presently
has one million dollars of personal injury and property damage insurance to
cover all operations in the State of Colorado. Rule 2.03.9 requires that
"Minimum insurance coverage... shall be E300,000 for each occurrence and
£SOO,ODO aggregate. This rule has been interpreted by the Division to mean
that each permit must have this coverage. Since Peabody wishes to cover all
three permitted mining operations with one insurance policy, total coverage
must be one and one-half million dollars. Please have the insurance
certificate updated within 30 days from the date of this letter to indicate
that this coverage is in force.
if you have any questions please contact me.
Sincerely,
/ ~
~/~~~
Carl B.
