Other Mining Permits and Operations in Colorado
• 1. Colorado Sand and Gravel is presently mining the property
to the south under contract with the owners who obtained
the permit. This permit name and number is Henderson De-
velopment Company, 80-110.

Other permits or Licenses Required at Mining Locations
1. All crusher plants are inspected by the Colorado Department
of Health after issuance of an Emission Control permit. The
• present crusher located on the property to the south has a
permit and it will be moved onto this property. At that time
the permit for that crusher will be amended to reflect the
changed location, or a new permit will be obtained.

2. In some cases the Colorado State Health Department requires
a fugitive dust emissions permit for earth moving activities.
If required, such a permit will be obtained.
• 3. Since no dewatering or discharge into a water course is
proposed the operator does not need a NPDES permit.
4. A changeF in water use and point of diversion is necessary
to utilize surface irrigation water from an adjacent well
• for evaporative losses caused by utilizing the crusher and
other associated consuptive uses. Application will be made
to Water Court to change 100 acre feet per year for this
purpose and change the point of diversion to this property.

5. The County Board of Adjustment will require a special use
permit for use of an office trailer. Colorado Sand and
Gravel has a permit for the office trailer located to the
• south. When Sandy Acres is untertaken this trailer will be
moved to Sandy Acres. Anew special use will therefore be
obtained from the County Board of Adjustment.
6. Upon beginning mining the entire property will be enclosed
• with chain link fencing. This will require a permit from
the Adams County Building Department which will be obtained.
