Hampton Avenue, Suite 350 <br />Salt Creek Mining Company <br />Denver, Colorado 80231 <br />Dear Mr. Bosworth: <br />Enclosed is the McClane Canyon Mine permit with stipulations. This permit <br />wi 11 become effective only when: 1) page four of the permit has been signed <br />by an authorized representative of Salt Creek Mining Company and returned to <br />the Office of Surface Mining (OSM) and, 2) a bond in the amount of $53,750.00 <br />payable to both Colorado Mine Land Reclamation Division and the United States <br />of America has been received by OSM. Signing the permit is only an <br />acknowledgement that the permit has been read and the requirements of the <br />permit and stipulations are understood. Pursuant to 30 CFR 787.11, Salt Creek <br />Mining Company will have 30 days from the date OSM receives the signed permit <br />to appeal the Director's decision on the application. <br />Page four has been provided in duplicate, so you can retain one copy with <br />original signatures and return one copy with original signatures to us. <br />Your authority to continue operations will end 10 days after `>}eceipt of this <br />letter unless you respond in some manner. If for any reason you need addi- <br />tional time or need clarification of any permit condition or stipulations <br />please respond within the 10 day period. <br />The Assistant Secretary for Energy and Mineral on July 6, 1982 approved the <br />McClane Canyon Mining and Reclamation Plan. The enclosed permit has been de- <br />termined to be consistent with the Mining and Reclamation Plan. <br />If you have any questions, please feel free to call either myself or Bennett <br />Young at (303) 837-2451. <br />Sincerely, <br />Allen D.
