Fegetation - Rules 2.04.10, 2.0~.~(2)(e), and 4.15 (con't)

In the sampling program undertaken, inadequate numbers of samples were taker.
to provide the current desired levels of con_`idence (p~ .80 for non-
herbaceous communities, d = .10, a (211, Por the productivity of the
greasewood shrubland, shadscale shrubland, and juniper woodland vegetation
types.
The ?funger Cam•on project contains the same vegetation types and is located
contiguously to the ?fcClane Canyon site. Abietic factors affecting the
occurrence of vegetation communities are similar. For this reason, data
from the two sites for productivit~• o_` the above communities were compared
to determine if the communities of ?1cClane anc `funeer Canvor. were from
differing populations. It was verifies statistically that the PScClane
and ?iunger respective communities were nct sicnificantly different in terms
of vegetative aroductivity within the bounds of each vegetative cor..munitv_.
Data from the P1cClane and Plunger sites were combined (evithin communities,
between sites), and it was determined that the combines cata met confidence
level requirements.
Due to the small area of disturbance at the 1;cClane site, the Division has
determined that premine produc*_ieity and premir.e cover data may be applied
as reclamation. success criteria. It ;. as aisd determined twat the pzoductivit•-.
data for the reference areas for the ?9cClane Cam~on vegetative communities
did not meet sample adequacy requirements.
