The contractor must carry a minimum of $600,000 combined single limit. <br />VENDOR OFFSET <br />Pursuant to C.R.S. 24-30-202.4 (as amended), the State Controller may withhold debts owed to state agendes under <br />the vendor offset intercept system for. (a) unpaid child support debt or child support arrearages; (b) unpaid balance of <br />tax, accrued interest, or other charges specked in Artide 22, Title 39, C.R.S.; 0 unpaid loans due to the student loan <br />division of the Department of Higher Educatbn; (d) owed amounts required to be paid to the unemployment <br />compensation fund; and (e) other unpaid debts owing to the Stale or any agency thereof, the amount of which is found <br />to be owing as a result of final agency determination or reduced to judgment as certfied by the controller. <br />Work Description <br />Maintenance work to be accomplished at the Grassy Gap Coal Mine indudes construction of three (3) low water <br />crossings, repair of a sediment pond dewatedng device and sealing of the vase of the same sediment pond. A few <br />miscellaneous tasks will be accomplished through the use of machine lime. Maintenance of the Grassy Gap Mine is <br />being accomplished by the State of Colorado, Division of Minerals and Geology, using forfeited redamalion bond <br />monies. <br />The attached General Conditions for Purohase Orders and Purohase Order terms and Condrtions apply to all work. <br />The Project is scheduled to be conducted during the week of June 28, 1999. It is anticipated that the project will be <br />accomplished in no more than four (4) consecutive working days. <br />The Grassy Gap Coal Mining operation was a permitted mining operation. The Colorado Mined Land Redamalion <br />Board has revoked the operating permit, and forfeited the redamalion bond. The majority of the site was redaimed by <br />the coal mining company. The Division of Minerals and Geology periodically perfonns redamalion related <br />maintenance work at the site. Accomplishing the required maintenance will help to stabilize the site by providing for <br />control of snow melt and storm related run off, and by minimizing seepage from a sediment control pond located on a <br />hillside. <br />NOTE that Mobilization and Demobilization are not inducted as a separate line item. CONTRACTOR shall indude <br />charges for these items, 'rf any, in the prices bid for the tasks described below. No additional payment far Mobilization <br />and Demobilization will be made. <br />Task 1 Low Water Crossings <br />The goal of this Task is to manage drainage of water on two of the of the old haul roads. In order to accomplish this, <br />two (2) low water crossings are to be constructed within the Project Area, one on the Pit 4 Road, and one on the Pits 2 <br />3 Road. <br />The Pit 4 Road low water crossing will be constructed immediately above the first swilchbadc located on this mad. <br />This crossing will serve to transport water from the north to the south side of the mad, and into an existing drainage <br />swale. The other low water crossing will be constructed at the first switch bads of the Pits 2 / 3 Road. This low water <br />
