Cattany Division Director Natural Resource Trustee Computer requirements to use the DAMS document imaging CD (or DVD): 1, A program called QuickView will be copied ro the CD and must be installed on your computer in order ro use a DBMS imaging CD the first time. Future use of this or other imaging CD's does mt require a new installation of the software. 2. The CD or DVD that you purchase must be in the D: drive. A DVD drive will read a CD or DVD. 3. The CD will contain files with the .df exteasian There needs ro be an image viewing application for .tif tiles an your computer that will handle single and antlti-page dacuarenb. tJn a Windows XP computer, the default viewing progranta are called "Windows Picture and Fax Viewer" or `Paint" and they do not work with tZuickView. The Imaging Viewer that comes with pre-Windows XP computers does work. DAMS has detemtined that a program called "hfanView", which can be downloaded from LianView.com, does work wiW QuickView. After downloading "hfanView", it needs to be configured as your default .df viewer. DBMS does not support or endorse this software and the licensing and regishation are the user's responsibility. There are many other programs that work as well, such as "Imaging Preview" and "Imaging for Windows". Instructiona• 1. Ltaext the CD into your computer. 2~ Allow time foc the CD to inaffill. 3. Eject the CD from the computer. 4. Reinsert the CD into the computer. 5. You are ready ro view the Permit Files. NOTE: A program called QuickView Autorun, which runs the QuickView settgr pmgtam, has also been copied to this CD. If the Autorun program does NOT work, you will need to manually install the QuickView program. i Listtuctlona for manually installing QuickView are available upon request with the CD or can be viewed at www.mininestate.co.us. The Permit File document Images can be viewed in the mepdon area of the DBMS office or they can be purchased on a CD or DVD. The CDIDVD purchase cost rnvers the time and labor of making the CD.
