SCC has implemented innovative methodologies for shrub <br />establishment and should be commended for their overall revegetation efforts. They have <br />developed a program for native shrub seedling transplants with high survival rates. In addition, <br />SCC has tried several native shrub seeding techniques on reclaimed lands. Through SCC's <br />efforts, the State has a better understanding of native shrub establishment on reclaimed lands. <br />All shrub establishment techniques, as well as developments with seed mixes are carefully <br />documented each yeaz. SCC's exemplary reclamation monitoring program documents their <br />successful and unsuccessful revegetation efforts. These well documented results of shrub <br />establishment techniques, effects of grazing and native plant establishment have enhanced the <br />State's understanding of effective and feasible reclamation practices. <br />Please contact me if you have any questions concerning this nomination.
