Box 68
Craig, Colorado 81625
Re: Draft Decision Document
~'~:rz1~
Dear'Mr:~Rt~s;
Enclosed is a copy of the Division's draft findings document for the Eagle No.
9 Mine permit revision application and the 2N area of the Eagle No. 5 Mine.
The Division is proposing to approve them, with stipulations. Only those
sections of the September 2, 1983 findings document that are affected by these
proposed revisions have been changed.
Three additional stipulations have been included in the geology and alluvial
valley floor sections. These stipulations are numbered sequentially (starting
with 25) from the last stipulation in the September findings document.
Stipulation No. 3 has been revised as a result of mining in the 2W area of the
Eagle No. 5 Mine.
Since Empire Energy Corporation has responded to Stipulations No. 21, 22, and
24, they have not been included to this draft document. The Division's review
of them showed the responses were acceptable, except for one item. The
summary sheet submitted for Stipulation No. 22 should be amended to include a
tablular summary of horizontal survey data and cumulative horizontal
differences.
I suggest we schedule a meeting as soon as possible to discuss any comments
you may have. If you have any questions, feel free to call me.
Sincerely,
Sandra L. Emrich
Reclamation Specialist
SLE/mmt
Enclosure
cc: Mr. Floyd Johnson, OSM
Dot.
