Fire protection services are provided by the Rio <br />Blanco Fire Protection District, which is stationed in Meeker. Medical services are <br />provided by Pioneers Hospital in Meeker; ambulance service to Pioneers Hospital is <br />available. In situations requiring specialized medical expertise, helicopter service is <br />available to St. Mary's Hospital in Grand Junction. Should American Soda require <br />assistance at the Piceance Site, law enforcement, fire protection, and medical services <br />would be provided by Rio Blanco County. Piceance Creek Road, which provides <br />access to the Piceance Site, is maintained and snowplowed by the Rio Blanco County <br />Road and Bridge Department. <br />Amencan Soda.
