Whittington, 4837 Randolph
Drive, Annandale, Virginia 22003, who is the owner of the
s~Irface rights on the land involved in Colorado Quarries, Inc.'s
application for a Mining and Reclamation permit with the
Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Divi.si.on for the property
located at or near Section 14.0, Township 18.0 S, Range 71.0 W,
06th Prime Meridian, County of Fremont, State of Colorado.
Mrs. Whittington is deeply concerned over the damage being
done over t•he surface area of the land attd feels the land
already mined has become worthless in regard to any possible use
or sale following the mining operation. Since the mining
operation began in 1977, there has been a significant
deterioration and disturbance of the surface by the mining
operation and Mrs. Whittington wishes to be heard on this most
recent request of Colorado Quarries, Inc. for additional mining
on the property owned by Mrs. Whittineton.
Please keep me informed of all proceedings transpiring with
the Mined Land Reclamation Division concerning activi.ti.es of
Colorado Quarries, Inc. on any land owned by Mrs. Marion B.
Whittington.
I understand at the present time there is tentatively
scheduled a hearing on July 26, 1989 for this recent application
for additional mining permit. Please advise at your convenience
