SECTION II -REVISIONS TO THE PERMIT <br />Subsequent to the proposed decision to approve the permit renewal request, Seneca Coal <br />Company has submitted and a Division decision has been made for the following revisions. <br />Technical Revision No. 32 was received by the Division on May 12, 1998, and deemed <br />complete on May 14, 1998. This revision application, in response to Stipulation No. 33, <br />provided the postmining drainage control plan for the Seneca II Mine. The revision did not <br />include a revised reclamation cost estimate. The application was approved on September 4, <br />1998. <br />Minor Revision No. 49 was received by the Division on September 21, 1998, and deemed <br />complete on September 25, 1998. This minor revision updated the ownership and control <br />information as well as miscellaneous adjudication information related to Seneca Coal Company. <br />The revision did not include a revised reclamation cost estimate. The revision was approved on <br />July 2l, 1999. <br />Minor Revision No. 50 was received by the Division on Mazch 8, 1999, and deemed complete <br />on Mazch 16, 1999. This revision addressed modifications to the seedmix and revegetation <br />monitoring program. The revision did not include a revised reclamation cost estimate. The <br />application was approved on Mazch 16, 1999. <br />Minor Revision No. 51 was received by the Division on August 19, 1999, and deemed complete <br />on August 30, 1999. This minor revision updated the ownership and control information related <br />to Seneca Coal Company. The revision did not include a revised reclamation cost estimate. The <br />application was approved on November 2, 1999. <br />SECTION III -STATUS OF STIPULATIONS <br />Listed below aze all of the stipulations in effect at the time of the permit renewal and the status of <br />those stipulations. <br />Stipulation No. 3 <br />IF DURING THE COURSE OF MINING OPERATIONS, PREVIOUSLY UNIDENT'[F1ED CULTURAL <br />RESOURCES ARE DISCOVERED, THE PERM[IT'EE SHALL ENSURE THAT THE SiIE IS NOT DISTURBED <br />AND SHALL NOTIFY THE COLORADO DMS10N OF MINERALS AND GEOLOGY AND THE UNITED <br />STATES OFFICE OF SURFACE MINING (OSM). THE PERMI'ITEE SHALL INSURE THAT THE <br />RESOURCE 1S PROPERLY EVALUATED IN TERMS OF THE NATIONAL HISTORIC PLACES <br />ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA (36 CFR 60.61). SHOULD RESOURCE BE DETERMINED ELIGIl.BLE FOR <br />LISTING ON THE NATIONAL REGISTER, APPROPRIATE MITIGATION MEASURES WII.L BE <br />DEVELOPED & IMPLEMENTED IN CONSULTATION WCIT-I THE STATE HISTORIC PRESERVATION <br />2 <br />
