Long <br />D rvivnn Dneclrn <br />RE: Basin Resources, Inc., Golden Eagle Mine, Permit No. C-81-013 <br />TDN 93-020-370-005, Violation 2 of 3 <br />Dear Ms. Tatum: <br />The Division of Minerals and Geology has concluded it's further <br />review of possible impacts to your livestock windmill water well <br />near Weston, Colorado. <br />To summarize, based on our investigation we find that it is likely <br />that the water level in the well was influenced by the adjacent <br />underground workings and exhaust shaft, but the water well is <br />neither permitted nor is the water right adjudicated with the State <br />Engineer's Office, and the operator took measures to minimize <br />hydrologic impacts in the area of the well. Therefore, we conclude <br />that the operator of the Golden Eagle Mine is not in violation of <br />their permit, the Colorado Surface Coal Mining Reclamation Act or <br />our regulations.
