Water Rights and Replacement - Rules 2.04.7(3). <br />2.05.6(3)(a)(ii) and 4.05.15 <br />Loadout Stte <br />Snowmass Coal Company has secured four water rights at the loadout for <br />use by the operation. Water is used by the operator for dust <br />suppression, plant washdown, sanitation, and irrigation. Although these <br />water rights are junior (having been recently issued), a plan of <br />~ augmentation 1s in place in the event senior water users require a "call° <br />~1 be placed on the operation. The water rights discussion can be found in <br />Volume I, Section 4.6.1.3.6, with court decrees and augmentation plans <br />found in Volume III, Appendix 3-T of the application. <br />y~~ 8. Mine Stte <br />The mine consumes water for irrigation, dust suppression, domestic uses, <br />and coal preparation plant operations. The source of this water comes <br />from mine lnflow5. Snowmass has secured two absolute water rights for <br />the water pumped from the mine. A discussion of water use and rights is <br />contained 1n Volume I, Section 4.6.1.3.6 of the application. <br />.The review of the water rights sections was conducted with the assistance <br />of the Colorado State Engineer's Office, Division of Water Resources. <br />The mine and loadout were #ound to be in compl5ance with the requirements <br />of this section. <br />VIII. Probable Hydrologic Consequences of Mining and Cumulative <br />Hydrologic Impacts Study - Rules 2.05.6(3) and 2.01.6(2)(c) <br />This Cumulative Hydrologic Impact Study (CRIB) for the drainage basin of <br />the Roaring Fork River has been prepared 6y the Colorado Mined Land <br />Reclamation Division (CMLRD) pursuant to Rule 2.07.6(2)(c). This GHIS <br />assesses the probable cumulative hydrologic impacts of all ant lcipated <br />coal mining operations upon the general area of the Roaring Fork River <br />Valley (Figure 2). Included in this assessment are existing coal mines <br />and those proposed coal mines for which permit applications have been <br />submitted to the Divtslon. This study has been prepared using <br />lnformatlon and analysis contained in the Coal Basin mines permit <br />application, lnformatlon and analysis contained fn other permit <br />applications of mines located in the general area and other available <br />lnformatlon, including site visitation by members of the Divtslon staff. <br />Coal mining operations in the study area include: <br />Garfield Energy Corp. - Sunlight Mine, CMLRD File No. C-046-81 <br />2.
