<br />Pioneer Canyon-AML Project involved drilling and Investigation of an active coal fire located in the South Field <br />area of the Canon City Coal field. Fremont County. The Project included drilling exploratory holes to determine <br />subsurface overburden and mine conditions, identify extent and direction of movement of the fire, and develop data <br />and an understanding of the fire so that a containment or extinguishment approach could be designed for Phase II. <br />Temperature monitoring instruments were also installed to monitor fire behavior and evaluate future planned <br />remedialion efforts. Construction dates 6\14\93 to 8/5/93. Final Cost $32,872.00 <br />8-5-93-Dr. Corley gave consent to perform backtilling lacks on July 23 and rescinded that consent on July 26. <br />requesting that all work be suspended and the DMG leave the property. The contract was thus concluded <br />before it was completed and the contractor released. Low Bidder was Tezak Heavy Equipment Co for $40,200, next low bidder was Dave's Enterprises <br />for $44,870 and the third low bidder was Kessler Reclamation for $45,022.50 <br />
