Long
Division Diregor
After consulting with Jim McArdle, Maggie Van Cleef, and Kent Gorham, I recommend
that we proceed with necessary maintenance activities at the Grassy Gap Mine as
follows:
• Weed control -Kent will prepare the necessary specifications for awarding this
work through a telephone bidding procedure, solicit bids from potential
contractors, and handle on-site management of the project. Maggie is prepared to
give guidance and support for the bidding procedure. On-site weed control
activities are planned for mid-May.
• Road maintenance -IMP will perform similar activities for carrying out the
necessary road maintenance work, assuming i[ will cost less than $10,000. If the
work is estimated to cost more than that, IMP will solicit written bids through
advertizing, etc. We will make arrangements for meeting Kent on-site after the
roads are dry -perhaps during the weed control activities - to identify the extent
of road and ditch work required. IMP will handle all other work needed. On-site
road maintenance activities will be completed no later than August 31st.
Please let me know if you wish to handle this work differently.
STATE OF COLORADO
m:\i mp\dlb\gasygap.mcm
