Box 229 Fcq j tc <br /> Boulder, CO 80306 <br /> Re: Docket #SU-81-10 - Deepe Farm Pit BOULDER COUNTY ATTORNEY <br /> Dear Mrs. Winter: <br /> The purpose of this letter is to certify that at a meeting of the Board <br /> of County Commissioners of the County of Boulder, State of Colorado, <br /> duly called and held on Monday, January 11, 1982, in consideration of <br /> the request described as follows: <br /> Docket PSU-81-10 - Deepe Farm Pit <br /> Request: Approval of a Special Use Review for open mining of sand <br /> and gravel in the Agricultural (A) Zoning District + <br /> Location: South of the Denver-Boulder Turnpike and west of South <br /> Boulder Creek in Sections 9 & 16, T1S, R70W <br /> the following action was taken: <br /> The Board of County Commissioners of the County of Boulder, <br /> State of Colorado, CONDITIONALLY APPROVED the request for <br /> Special Use permit, subject to the following: <br /> 1) Although basic conceptual layouts of the Alternate Excavation <br /> Plan Map and Reclamation Plan Map for the entire property are <br /> generally acceptable, Special Use approval is strictly limited <br /> to the first two (2) stages of mining as identified in the <br /> Alternate Excavation Plan Map or a maximum period of seven (7) <br /> years of operation. Formal review and Special Use approval <br /> will be required prior to commencing any mining activities <br /> on stages 3 through 6. The map submitted by the applicants <br /> and entitled the "Alternate Excavation Plan Map" which shows <br /> the stage 1 operations area located near the eastern boundary <br /> of the property is the approved mining plan map with the ex- <br /> ception of revisions to haul roads as recommended in conditions <br /> 6, 7 and 9. <br /> 2) That the state noise standards for residential areas apply to <br /> the mining site and that sound be measured and calculated <br /> according to the accepted standards of the U. S. Environmental - <br /> Protection Agency (EPA). A monitoring program is to be con- <br /> ducted by a professional acoustics consultant at the applicant' s �1 <br />
