-4-
To conclude, Trapper has presented several methods for calculation of
revegetation success for cover and production. The first methods proposed in
each section for cover and production are those which employ comparison of
reference areas and reclaimed areas directly through the collection of data
during the last two years of the liability period. This is the method
currently employed by the majority of surface mines in the state. The second
set of methods employs use of a predictive regression model to generate a
standard for cover and production values. While the predictive regression
model can be utilized, the Division has several areas of concern which need to
be addressed prior to acceptance of this methodology.
Literature Cited
Steel, R.
