Specific Limitations and Self-Monitoring Requirements <br />Self-Monitoring Requirements (Storm Water Monitoring for <br />Outfalls 002 and 003) <br />- - _-- -- As -a-minimum,-upon-the-effective-date-of-this pezmit, <br />the following constituents shall be monitored at the <br />frequency and with the type of measurement indicated; <br />samples or measurements shall be representative of the <br />volume and nature of the monitored discharge. If no <br />discharge occurs during the entire monitoring period, it <br />shall be stated oa the Discharge Monitoring Report Form <br />(EPA No. 3320-1) that no discharge or overflow occurred. <br />Effluent Characteristic Freq~encv Sample Type ~/ ~/ <br />Total Suspended <br />Solids, mg/L Semiannually Grab <br />pH, s.u. Semiannually Grab <br />Oil and Grease, visual Semiannually Visual <br />Total Dissolved <br />Solids, mg/L Semiannually Grab <br />Ia addition to the parameters listed, the permittee shall <br />provide the date and duration (in hours) of the storm <br />event(s) sampled; rainfall measurements or estimates (in <br />inches) of the storm event which generated the sampled <br />runoff; duration between the storm event sampled and the end <br />of the previous measurable (greater than 0.1 inch rainfall) <br />storm event; and an estimate of the total volume (in <br />gallons) of the discharge sampled. <br />When the permittee is unable to collect samples due to <br />adverse climatic conditions, the permittee must submit in <br />lieu of sampling data a description of why samples could <br />be collected, including available documentation of the <br />event. Adverse weather conditions which may prohibit the <br />collection of samples includes weather conditions that <br />create dangerous conditions for personnel (such as local <br />flooding, high winds, tornadoes, electrical storms, etc.) <br />otherwise make the collection of a sample impracticable <br />(drought, extended frozen conditions, etc.). Dischargers <br />are precluded from exercising this waiver more than once <br />during a 2-year period. <br />not <br />or <br />See Footnotes, Page 12. <br />
