Effluent Limitations (Outfall 001) <br />Effective immediately and lasting through the life of <br />this permit, the quality of effluent discharged by the <br />facility shall, as a minimum, meet the limitations as <br />set forth below: <br />Effluent Limitation <br />30-Day 7-Day <br />Effluent Characteristic Average ~/ Average ~/ <br />,~~ <br />J <br />~1 ~~' <br />Total Suspended Solids, mg/L 30 <br />45 <br />The p1H of the discharge shall not be less than 6.5 nor <br />great.=_r than 9.0 in any sample. <br />The concentration of oil and grease in any single sample <br />shall got exceed 10 mg/L nor shall there be any visible <br />sheen in the receiving water or adjoining shoreline. <br />There shall be no discharge of floating solids or visible <br />foam .in other than trace amounts. <br />Total Dissolved Solids will not have a limit, but will be <br />monitored. <br />There shall be no discharge of sanitary wastewaters from <br />toilets or related facilities. <br />No ch~emicala shall be added to the discharge unless <br />permission for the use of a specific chemical is granted by <br />the EPA. In granting the use of such chemicals, additional <br />limit•ationa and/or monitoring requirements may be imposed. <br />Bulk storage structures for petroleum products and other <br />chemicals shall have adequate protection so as to prevent <br />any reasonable loss of the material from enteiing discharged <br />waters or waters of the United States. Depending on the <br />amount of~ oil and oil products stored, the permittee may <br />need to prepare a Spill Prevention Control and <br />Countermeasures plan. <br />The permittee must notify the EPA if a discharge occurs from <br />the secondary gravel wash settling pond due tq decreased <br />infiltration capacity. <br />The permittee must notify the EPA of any future expansion of <br />mining and if the need for additional outfalls is created. <br />/See Footnotes, Page 12. <br />
