CHAPTERTWO Agency Preferred Afternatlye <br />Immediately prior to plugging and abandoning, the tubing system would be rE;moved from the <br />intermediate casing. The intermediate casing would be left in the hole permanently. A cast iron <br />bridge plug would be set inside the bottom of the intermediate casing, and a cement plug <br />set immediatel~t above the CIBP <br />would extend verticalx to within 1 to 3 feet of the surface. If it is not possible to run a CIBP <br />inside the intermediate casing due to wellbore irregularities, acement basket would be run in the <br />hole to establish the plug at the bottom of the intermediate casing. <br />. The plan shall: <br />(1) include a description of positive spill prevention efforts that the Lessee shall make; <br />(2) include provisions for spill control; <br />(3) provide for immediate corrective action including spill control and restoration of the <br />affected resource; <br />(4) provide that the Authorized Officer shall approve arty materials or devices used for spill <br />control and shall approve any disposal sites or techniques selected to handle spilled <br />matter; and <br />2-14 <br />
