Your explanation of the possible BLM lease
modification has eliminated our concern about the permit boundary situation.
I have had our staff hydrologist, Berhan Keffelew, review your explanation of the
leachate situation at the waste and process ponds. Berhan agrees with you that at this
time a Technical Revision, with points of compliance and permit conditions is not
needed. Your current monitoring program should be adequate unless the situation
changes. We do want to k}e kept informed of any changes in the amount of "leachate"
leakage from the pond liners.
The Division appreciates your prompt and detailed explanations of our questions.
Sincerely,
I n
~Ji ~r~ ,~u.L`
Gregg R.
