All of the planned mine facilities and associated surface <br />disturbance at the Bear Mine have been completed. <br />2. An archaeological survey was not specifically conducted for <br />the Bear Mine property. The adjacent Mt. Gunnison lease <br />survey covered a portion of the Bear property. No <br />archaeological resources were located. In that all surface <br />disturbing activities have been completed it was recommended <br />by OSMRE and agreed upon by the State Historic Preservation <br />Officer that a survey was not needed. The agreement was <br />conditioned with permit stipulations dealing with <br />unanticipated finds and subsidence. <br />3. The State Historic Preservation letter of October 3, 1985 <br />(attached) is satisfactory clearance providing that the <br />standard condition concerning unanticipated finds, as well as <br />the stipulation concerning potential subsidence, remain <br />enforce. <br />Attachment <br />
