t <br />CHRONOLOGY Oi EVENTS <br />Application for Mining and Reclamation Plan .' <br />c <br />The current application vas submitted to OS:i on December 12, 1980. The plan <br />vas determined complete enough for initial review on March 31, 1981 by the <br />State of Colorado. The State of Colorado public notice of a complete mine <br />plan was published on four consecutive weeks from February 23 to March 16, <br />1981 in the Daily Sentinel located in Grand Junction, Colorado. The period <br />for submitting comments and requesting informal conferences on the permit <br />application ended on April 15, 1981. The plan vas then reviewed for <br />completeness and the results submitted to the operator for compliance. The <br />operator submitted additional material and corrections to the mine plan on May <br />11th and 20th, 1981 to OSM and the State of Colorado. <br />A State of Colorado Notice of Proposed Decision was issued March 16, 1982 with <br />a comment period that extends until April 16, 1982. No comments have been <br />received as of this date. After the Secretary of the Interior has rendered a <br />decision whether or not to approve the Mining and Reclamation Plan, a Notice <br />of Decision and Availability of an Environmental Assessment will be issued by <br />-- OSM. -It must be noted that Colorado and OSM conducted the technical review. --- - -- <br />-. _ .The Mining and Reclamation Plan was jointly reviewed by the Office of Surface-.___ _ _ <br />Mining and the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Division.
