The next closest <br />residential structure lies 3 miles south of the ash disposal area. <br />Please refer to v.ir-inity and nlnt. mans at the hack o{ this report. <br />Users <br />The ash disposal operation is to run concurrently with mining <br />activities. Only ash products are to be disposed of, and only ash <br />that meets disposal standards as determined by using the EPA E:P <br />'toxicity 'test end 'Grace Metal Analysis. Disposal operations would <br />be under the direct control of Coors Energy Company. <br />Hours of Gperation <br />Coal trucks start arriving at 3:00 A.M. and finish loading at 11:00 <br />P.M. There are 42-48 loads per day. Four of these will be <br />back-hauling ash so the dump area will be open during these hours. <br />These truck drivers load their own trucks so they will be expected <br />to unload their ash loads also. If they need assistance, radio <br />contact is available with the production Foreman on each shift. <br />Water <br />Water foi~ personal use is drawn {rom a Laramie-Foxhills well at a <br />maximum rate of 80 GPM. Another Laramie-Foxhills well is available <br />for dust suppression at 90 GPM. A fire protection well is <br />• maintained as well as numerous shallow sumps in various parts of the <br />mine. No needs for water in the ash pits are anticipated. <br />-3- <br />
