• The augmentation plan would require that tributary water be replaced <br />if such water is called. From the calculations above, a maximum of <br />10.09 acre-ft of water from non-tributary or other water rights <br />would be required if celled. Coors Energy Company hes an ennual <br />appropriation of 167 acre-ft between the two Laramie-Fox Hills <br />aquifer wells. Even though one of these wells is unsuitable for <br />most needs (except dust suppression) 167 acre-ft of water is still <br />available to augment. However, the maximum production potential for <br />the Laramie-Fox Hills well #1 is 8.62 ac-ft per month or 103 <br />acre-ft/year. <br />To date, water has not been called and thus Coors Energy Company has <br />not had to release water to cover consumptive use of tributary water <br />due to mine operations. The average consumptive use of tributary <br />water at the Keenesburg Mine is approximately 1.65 acre-ft per <br />month, with a maximum net use of 2.18 acre-ft during the month of <br />June. The minimum consumptive use periods are during the winter <br />months, and emounts to approximately .17 acre-ft per month. Coors <br />Energy Company has the ability to produce enough water from the <br />Laramie-F'ox Hills well #1 to meet the needs of the mine while an <br />augmentation plan is in effect. <br />To date, there have been no measured detrimental effects to the <br />Ennis Draw sub-surface water system either in quantity and quality. <br />• The net emount of water used from Ennis Draw is approximately 2.56 <br />ac-ft of wnh=r ror veer,_(s=a tabJP nbove). There are no wells in <br />Ennis Draw that have been or are anticipated to be impacted by <br />mining activities. <br />4.3 GENEkAL DATA <br />4.3.1 Site Description <br />Keenesburg Mine <br />Box 359 <br />Keenesburg, Colorado 80693 <br />Wald County <br />Sections 25,26 & 36 T 3 N, R 64 W. Half acre sites will vary <br />according to where mining is taking place. <br />4.3.2 Area <br />Each site will be no more than 1/2 acre.
