These stipulations were part of the permits granted by CMLRD and OSM <br />earlier this year for the Mt. Gunnison No. 1 Mine near Somerset, Colorado. The <br />permits were issued pursuant to the Colorado Surface Coal Mining and Reclamation <br />Act of 1979 and the Federal Surface Mining Control and Reclamation Act of 1977. <br />Please remove the existing page 2-350, replace with this updated page, and insert <br />Exhibit 2.8.5 in Volume II( after Exhibit 2.8.4.6. <br />The furnishing of this material does not constitute an admission that the same is <br />required by law nor does Atlantic Richfield Company hereby admit that its permit <br />application or the permit granted for its Mt.
