PART II -SUMMARY OF: OPERATIONS, REVISIONS TO PERMIT, VIOLATIONS, STIPULATIONS, VARIANCES, AND BOND Revisions to Permit Table 2, below, summarizes permitting actions for Permit C-84-063 that have occurred since the last permit renewal RN-4, approved December 7, 2004. Table 2 -Permitting actions since last renewal of permit C-84-063 Approval Date Permit Action 6/15/06 Technical Revision 17, Weed management plan Violations No Notices of Violation have been issued since the last permit renewal. Permit Stipulations Permit C-84-063 has no active stipulations. The most recently active stipulation, ST-14, was complied with and removed from the permit on June 7, 1995 after the permiee submitted the additional bond required by that stipulation. The Findings document for Permit Renewal No. 4 summarizes the history of permit stipulations for Permit C-84-063. Bond As of July 10, 2007, the Division estimates reclamation liability at the Eastside Mine is $11,929. This amount is sufficient to assure completion of the remaining reclamation work at the site if the work had to be performed by the Division, including the cost of re- establishing vegetation on any revegetated areas, should those areas fail. The permiee currently has on deposit with the Division a letter of credit bond in the amount of $29,712. There is adequate bond on deposit. PART III -COMMENTS AND REQUESTED REVISIONS OF PERMIT APPLICATION Based on the current Midterm Review, the Division finds that fish and wildlife information in the permit application C-84-063 needs updating in order to ensure compliance with Rule 2.04.11. The permit application needs a recent list of threatened and endangered species that could be in the area and an explanation of why those species will not be adversely impacted by mining and reclamation operations.
