AMRTI+~~ ONIGSC~iV The purpose of this letter is to inform the Division of our intention of beginning permanent reclamation at our North Thompson Creek Mines and to notify the Division of permanent cessation of operations. As discussed in our phone conversations of August 14 and 15, 1986, Snowmass Coal Company shall proceed with the approved reclamation plan under the provisions of the subject permit and the regulations under Rule 4.30 Cessation of Operations. We have begun flooding both the No. 1 and No. 3 North Thompson Creek Mines, therefore a different schedule of hydrologic monitoring shall commmence as noted in Snowmass Coal Company's approved monitoring plan. It is our understanding, referring to the enclosed Division correspondence of February 27, 1986 and the Snowmass Coal Company letter of March 18, 1986, that Drill Hole Nos. 1, 3 and 4 shall be sampled monthly for levels and Table IA parameters until they are plugged and reclaimed according to the approved plan. Wells D-lA and D-2A shall be monitored quarterly for levels and parameters of Table IB until they are plugged and reclaimed according to the approved plan. The flumes on North and Middle Thompson Creeks shall be reclaimed. Thank you in advance for your cooperation and assistance in the matter.
