AMRTI+~~ ONIGSC~iV <br />The purpose of this letter is to inform the Division of our intention of <br />beginning permanent reclamation at our North Thompson Creek Mines and to <br />notify the Division of permanent cessation of operations. <br />As discussed in our phone conversations of August 14 and 15, 1986, Snowmass <br />Coal Company shall proceed with the approved reclamation plan under the provisions <br />of the subject permit and the regulations under Rule 4.30 Cessation of Operations. <br />We have begun flooding both the No. 1 and No. 3 North Thompson Creek Mines, <br />therefore a different schedule of hydrologic monitoring shall commmence as <br />noted in Snowmass Coal Company's approved monitoring plan. <br />It is our understanding, referring to the enclosed Division correspondence <br />of February 27, 1986 and the Snowmass Coal Company letter of March 18, 1986, <br />that Drill Hole Nos. 1, 3 and 4 shall be sampled monthly for levels and Table <br />IA parameters until they are plugged and reclaimed according to the approved <br />plan. Wells D-lA and D-2A shall be monitored quarterly for levels and parameters <br />of Table IB until they are plugged and reclaimed according to the approved <br />plan.
