[ntroduction <br />_ ~ ius Document is the decision package prepared by the Colorado Division of Minerals and <br />Geology (the Division) for the Coal Ridge No. 1 Mine. This document includes: 1) the <br />proposed decision to approve the renewal application with three conditions; 2) a summary <br />which includes a history of the review of the permit application, a description of the <br />environment affected by the operation and a description of the mining and reclamation plan; <br />and 3) the written findings of compliance the Division has made as required by the <br />Colorado Surface Coa] Mining Reclamation Act. Detailed information concerning the <br />findings of compliance can be found in the Rules and Regulations of the Colorado Mined <br />Land Reclamation Board for Coal Mining (Rules}. <br />The Division has received an application for a renewal to a permit to conduct reclamation <br />operations at the Coat Ridge No. 1 Mine. The application was submitted by NCIG <br />Financial, Inc. The Mine will be operated by NCIG Financial, Inc. The mine is located on <br />privately owned lands within Ga~eld County, Colorado. The legal description of the lands <br />included within the permit area is: <br />Township 6 South Ramie 91 West of the 6th Principal Meridian <br />Section 1: Those lands in the NE/4 south of County Road 335, Lots 3 and 4, S/2 S/2 <br />NW/4 <br />Township 6 South. Ranee 90 West of the 6th Principal Meridian <br />Section 5: S/2 SW/4 <br />Section 6: All lands south of County Road 335, a strip of land approximately 400 feet <br /> long and 25 feet wide originating just east of the gate to the mine north of <br /> County Road 335 and extending to the center of the Colorado River <br />Section 7: NE/4 and N/2 NW/4 <br />Section 8; N/2 N/2 SE/4, and NE/4 SW/4 <br />Section 9: S/2, NW/4, and SW/4 <br />Section 12: N/2 NE/4 and NE/4 NW/4 <br />Section 15: NW/4 <br />Section 16; N/2 NE/4, NE/4 NW/4. <br />Coal Ridge No. 1 Mine 1 Pcnnit Renewal No. 3 <br />
