ROCON~O I~.
EONITE FOR tifAN SCARRED LANDSCAPES
4. Varying the uniformity of industrial buildings made of concrete. porous brick.
masonry and unglazed the by applying graphics such assimulated petroglyphs,
trademarks, lettering and stripes.
5. Camouflaging military construction for security and envirorxnental impact
which can not be duplicated by conventional means.
6. Implementing passive solar, EONITE is used on concrete floors to provide
absorbent black color. EONITE can be used for Trombe wall coloration to provide
excellent heat production without the maintenance of paints, irealment of
concrete on bridges and driveways also helps to provide de-icing on such
surfaces. Coloration of the entire concrete bridge structure blends bridges and
overpasses with the natural surroundings in visually sensitive areas such as
national parks.
7. Coloring of concrete while in mixing stage with benefit of solubility as opposed to
floating nature of oxide dyes. Additive feature of EONITE coloring to intensify color
makes rework andjor later repairs a practical matter in comparison to oxide dyes.
MATERIAL SUF'FACES:
1. EONITE is successfully applied to igneous and metamorphic rock surfaces such as
basalis, andesites, c3ranites, shales, schists, etc. Naturally, only solid rock outcrops
and stable pieces should be treated as loose or readily decaying rocks or <.lopes
will not be permanent.
2. Concrete and masonry surfaces and products (must bs wettable-see surface
criteria 'oelow).
3. Unglazed file and porous brick products using the same surface criteria as
concrete and masonry products.
SURFACE PREPARATION AND CRITERIA:
1, Normally washing is unnecessary. Surface substrates should be clean a.s surface
contaminates will absorb EONITE and blow or wash away giving non-uniform
results. Often high pressure water washing is sufficient to remove excess loose
surface debris. If sample testing shows more variation in color from porosity
differences or stains and streaks, then sand-water blasting may be needed to
prepare the surface.
2. AVOID non-water wettable paint or curing compounds on the surface substrate
as the product will not perform.
ALWAYS TEST A SMALL AREA FIRST TO DETERMINE ACCEPTANCE OF EONITE TO THE
SURFACE AND DILUTION CRITERIA.
EONITE PRECONDITIONER APPLICATION:
1. Apply EONfiE Preconditioner fulr strength before application of arn/ EONITE
COLOR CONDITIONER product.
