The pipe will be evaluated <br />for wall crushing, wall bucking and ring deflection. <br />CONCLUSION: The HDPE pipe will be able to withstand the proposed overburden loads <br />in the heap pad. The pipe will possess the <br />following safety factors. <br />Wall Crushing Safety Factor: 2.05 <br />Wall Buckling Safety Factor: 1.50 <br />Pipe Deflection Safety Factor; 1.90 <br />In addition, the calculated pipe deflection is below <br />the manufacturer's suggested allowable deflection: <br />Pipe Deflection: 1.42 percent <br />Allowable Deflection: 2.70 percent <br />The deflection of the pipe will have negligible effects upon the flow area. <br />
